Headteacher’s Welcome

Welcome to St Aidan’s Catholic Primary Academy,

It is with great pleasure that myself, staff and pupils all welcome you to our school family. Here at St Aidan’s we believe every child has the right to be happy and safe where they can thrive in an environment that inspires, challenges, and supports them to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens.

At the heart of our school is a commitment to high expectations and a belief that every child can succeed. We encourage curiosity, creativity, and resilience, equipping our pupils with the skills and values they need to achieve.

Our school provides a safe, nurturing, and fully inclusive learning environment with a curriculum that is designed to build pupils love for learning through lessons that create awe and wonder while sparking their enthusiasm and creativity. Our curriculum continuously evolves with the children’s learning needs at the centre offering a wide range of opportunities for our children to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

We pride ourselves on our strong sense of community and the positive relationships that exist between pupils, staff, and families. We offer unique play opportunities through OPAL (Outdoor play and learning) where every child as a wide range of play opportunities and experiences every day to support their physical, mental and emotional health. St Aidan’s recently achieved the OPAL Gold award for our play offer which we are very proud of.

Together we raise money for charity to help those in need and vulnerable people in our world.

In our school we pray for peace, we say sorry and offer forgiveness in times of trouble and we love our neighbours treating others as we wish to be treated.

Creation And The Environment

We care for our environment by reducing, reusing and conserving energy. Our school is cared for with love.

The Dignity Of Work And Participation

We have a voice in our school and contribute our views to the opportunities and experiences at St Aidan’s.

Nursery Parent

During the lockdown period it was unprecedented times for all the children but the school made our son feel safe and happy. He makes good progress and the school communicate really well with us about how well he is doing.

It has been a huge strength to see the school have the ability to make changes and improvements. Over the past 2 years there have been tremendous improvments for the better. I am so happy to have my children come to the school they are happy and thriving.
